Claire is one week old today! It's been a wonderful, tiring, exciting last few days at our house. The kids have really loved holding, bathing, and kissing on their new baby sister. While sometimes they can be more help than I need, I have to admit it is nice to have some extra arms around when I need a "baby holder". Claire had a check-up on Monday and had gained an ounce since coming home, putting her at 5 lbs. 15 oz. It's so fun to watch her "wake-up" to the world. Although I wish she would do it more when the sun is up and less when we should all be asleep! Maybe I'll just have a talk with her and explain about sleeping through the night. : ) If that doesn't work I think we'll keep her anyway. We all kind of like her!! Love, Nancy
I still can't get over how much hair she has! I love love love it! She is so cute nancy (and matt), good job guys! Oh and while you have a talk with little Claire about sleeping through the night, would you mind chatting with Lainey about it too?! The little bugger is still up a few times a night...I seriously think I have aged 10 years in the last 6 months!
OK, seeing her next to Paige proves she has a look-a-like now. Her nose is Paige to a "T". Glad you survived week one!! I just still can't wrap my mind around a Felt baby less than 6 lbs! Keep the pictures coming and Happy Birthday, Nicole!!!!!!

Out of the Mouths of Babes
Matt to kids: "I'm just being facetious." Corinne: "What's facetious?" Matt: "It means sarcastic." Corinne:"Well then just say 'sarcastic'! Why make it complicated? I mean, that's like, why would you say Czechoslovakia when you could just say Kentucky?!" (7/14/12)
Claire: "Grandpa, I want milk." Grandpa: "How do you spell milk?" Claire: Looks at grandpa for a minute and then says, "You tip it!". I'm sure she was wondering why he wanted to know how you "spill" milk. (7/8/12)
"Mom, when I yawn my eyes get sad." Claire, age 3 (3/14/12)
Paige: "Guess what happened at lunch today?!" Corinne: "Lady Gaga came?" Paige: "No. Better! My chocolate milk tasted like pink milk!!" (3/13/12)
"If we had to leave our house and could only bring 4 things I would bring: food, water, a guy who makes electric things work, and the wii." --Paige, age 8 (3/9/12)
"I really wish I had a different mom. One that's nice." ---Claire, age 3 (9/18/11) OUCH!!
5 y/o friend: "My brother's friend is scared of trees and branches." Spencer: "That's crazy!" Friend: "He thinks there's scary stuff in them." Spencer: "Like what?" Friend: "Porcupines" Spencer: "And mini-dragons?" Friend: "Yeah." (9/13/11)
