Cousins/Camping/Reunions

These pictures are a "catch-up post" from last summer. We filled the better part of July with, as the title says, cousins, camping, and reunions.

Cousins Ethan and Lainey came for a visit over the 4th of July. Here is a picture of Claire and sweet Lainey. Let me tell you, partners-in-crime doesn't even begin to describe these two! Don't let their cute little faces and all of their pinkaliciousness fool you. They know how to have FUN!

Waiting for candy at the 4th of July parade.

We were able to squeeze a camping trip in after having it cancelled the weekend before due to a hospital stay. It was quick but very fun! Here are the kids enjoying oreos and milk before bed.

Never one to let an opportunity pass him by, Matt glassed for wildlife before the sun went down.

Exploring the campground.

A great climbing tree right near our trailer.

In all honesty, if given the choice, I'd always choose my comfy bed over the trailer, but taking the kids camping is so worth any inconvenience. They just love it and it's so great to get away from everything and just be together!

We hurried home from camping to go to the Lindhardt Family Reunion. This was with all of my cousins and was the first in many, many years. Paige was able to play with old and new friends! (Paige with Mimi and Abbie)

Some of the group listening to whoever had the mic at the moment. Spencer is in the middle of the picture sitting by Grandpa. This was after I dried Spencer off and changed his clothes following his unplanned (and unwelcome) dip in the creek. Good thing we hadn't unpacked from camping yet.

The Lindhardt Family Reunion 2012 attendees. Looking forward to 2015!

I love this picture because I just really love these boys! These are my four, handsome brothers one Sunday afternoon following a special family get together. It was a great day!

Random Pics

Well this post is exactly what it says it is. As I was looking back at all of our pictures, trying to get caught up on my blog, I found some that I wanted to post but they just don't fit anywhere. So here they are.

Nicole was almost too excited to eat her breakfast a few months ago when she realized that the pancake she had made looked like a labrador!

Spencer came to me one day asking me to take his picture. He had gotten my Willow Tree figurine of a little boy holding a heart and tried to duplicate it. See the figurine over his left shoulder?

I came around the corner one day to find Claire perched atop my clothes hamper, reading a book. I promise we have couches that she can use.

I missed this picture of Nicole when I made the pheasant hunting post, but I just love it.

Claire, all dressed up for the day.

I love that she has her hand on her hip as she bites that apple. There isn't much in her world that doesn't require plenty of attitude.

And here she is holding her new baby cousin, Maiya.

I love this picture of Corinne. So pretty!

Cousin Kara got to spend a couple of days with us in November and she, Spencer, and Claire had so much fun together. Here they are being superheroes!

Nicole was in the "Christmas Workshop Musical" performed at the High School by the orchestra and band. She played the violin and had to dress as a toy, so she was "ballerina barbie".

Dance Recital

This fall, Paige took dance for the first time.  It's a dance group organized by some moms here in our little town. They decided they were sick of skimpy costumes and too much make-up and sky-high fees, so they took matters into their own hands, hiring a college student to teach dance out of our homes. Paige's group danced in our basement every Monday night for three months. Her recital was in December and she had so much fun!

Here is her group doing their Christmas number

She was only 1 of 3 in her class who passed off "splits" and were recognized at the recital.

"Always A Good Time" clip.

"You Don't Know You're Beautiful" clip.

The final number where all the girls grabbed family members to join them.

The whole group. Paige is bottom left.

After the recital with one of her biggest fans!

Christmas 2012

The Christmas season was wonderful here at the Felt home.  We voted and it's unanimous, Christmas at home beats Christmas at the hospital, hands down! Not to say that last year wasn't very special, but it was SO nice to have all my chicks under one roof.

We celebrated with the usual traditions, starting with the elementary school sing-a-longs.

Spencer practiced these songs all week leading up to his day. They sang "All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth" and "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" among others.

The first grade, ready to spread some Christmas cheer!

This is a video clip of the 4th grade singing "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree". Paige is 3rd row back, just right of center with a Santa hat and green shirt.

On the 23rd we enjoyed our annual party with the Felt cousins. Here is Matt playing "Santa" for the gift exchange.

Opening presents

All thirteen cousins showing off their loot!

We spent Christmas Eve here at home. Grandma and Grandpa L., and Grandma Pat came for dinner. It was a LOOOOOONG day for Paige and Spencer who, around noon, started asking if it was bedtime yet.

Here they are making their way downstairs on Christmas morning.

Claire with her new Dream Lite...

...and her new bike!

Spencer and Paige were excited about the Angry Birds peeking out of their stockings.

Paige with her new DS.  She told us that she asked Santa instead of asking us to give her this so that we wouldn't have to spend any money! Very considerate of her.

Nicole seemed pleased with her haul. I don't know how I missed getting a picture of Corinne, but she seemed pleased with her haul, too!

Spencer, just hanging out in the aftermath of another great Christmas!

And lastly, here are the kids before church on the 23rd.
