Christmas 2012

The Christmas season was wonderful here at the Felt home.  We voted and it's unanimous, Christmas at home beats Christmas at the hospital, hands down! Not to say that last year wasn't very special, but it was SO nice to have all my chicks under one roof.

We celebrated with the usual traditions, starting with the elementary school sing-a-longs.

Spencer practiced these songs all week leading up to his day. They sang "All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth" and "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" among others.

The first grade, ready to spread some Christmas cheer!

This is a video clip of the 4th grade singing "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree". Paige is 3rd row back, just right of center with a Santa hat and green shirt.

On the 23rd we enjoyed our annual party with the Felt cousins. Here is Matt playing "Santa" for the gift exchange.

Opening presents

All thirteen cousins showing off their loot!

We spent Christmas Eve here at home. Grandma and Grandpa L., and Grandma Pat came for dinner. It was a LOOOOOONG day for Paige and Spencer who, around noon, started asking if it was bedtime yet.

Here they are making their way downstairs on Christmas morning.

Claire with her new Dream Lite...

...and her new bike!

Spencer and Paige were excited about the Angry Birds peeking out of their stockings.

Paige with her new DS.  She told us that she asked Santa instead of asking us to give her this so that we wouldn't have to spend any money! Very considerate of her.

Nicole seemed pleased with her haul. I don't know how I missed getting a picture of Corinne, but she seemed pleased with her haul, too!

Spencer, just hanging out in the aftermath of another great Christmas!

And lastly, here are the kids before church on the 23rd.

It looks like a jolly time was had by all. Our Christmas was rather quiet; our son had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so we didn't see him too much. He works for the local police department as a dispatcher. Mrs. C. and I went and saw Lincoln, a very good movie.

I always feel uplifted after I read a post from you! You have my continued prayer for Spencer and all of you.

Love those smiles, and I agree that there's nothing like a Christmas at home, especially compared with a hospital. It's great that the kids can get to see their grandparents, too. That's one of my favorite Christmas memories, having the whole family around, including grandparents and great grandparents.

Beautiful photos--beautiful family! And every Christmas from here on out will be better than last year's, right? Love what your daughter said about saving you money...so cute!
