Thursday night we took the whole family to the USU game. The kids have been looking forward to it for weeks. Spencer especially just kept talking about going the the basketball game to see Big Blue! It was a great game as the Ags beat Nevada thanks to a great run in the 2nd half that made the crowd go completely wild! As was reported in one paper, "it was possibly the loudest it has gotten--and that's saying something--in several years". Those of you who are familiar with the Spectrum know what that means! Nicole, Corinne, Spencer and Claire loved it and were screaming right along with everyone, but Paige sat cross-legged on her chair and covered her ears. It was a lot of fun and the kids can't wait 'til next year!
Go Aggies!! We have gone the past few years when they play San Jose State. It is fun and the kids enjoy it, but it is nothing like being at the Spectrum. BTW - Craig and I went on our first date to an Aggie game on Valentines Day. See where it will get you.
No wonder BYU won't come to the Spectrum--can't take the heat. :) Maybe next year, we'll come out for a game. Cooper would get a kick out of the Spectrum. Lots of memories in that place!!
How fun for the whole family. We take Peter, Derek and Brandon to UofA football and basketball games. It is fun to help create the next generation of hometown fans. Who doesn't love to cheer for the team?

Out of the Mouths of Babes
Matt to kids: "I'm just being facetious." Corinne: "What's facetious?" Matt: "It means sarcastic." Corinne:"Well then just say 'sarcastic'! Why make it complicated? I mean, that's like, why would you say Czechoslovakia when you could just say Kentucky?!" (7/14/12)
Claire: "Grandpa, I want milk." Grandpa: "How do you spell milk?" Claire: Looks at grandpa for a minute and then says, "You tip it!". I'm sure she was wondering why he wanted to know how you "spill" milk. (7/8/12)
"Mom, when I yawn my eyes get sad." Claire, age 3 (3/14/12)
Paige: "Guess what happened at lunch today?!" Corinne: "Lady Gaga came?" Paige: "No. Better! My chocolate milk tasted like pink milk!!" (3/13/12)
"If we had to leave our house and could only bring 4 things I would bring: food, water, a guy who makes electric things work, and the wii." --Paige, age 8 (3/9/12)
"I really wish I had a different mom. One that's nice." ---Claire, age 3 (9/18/11) OUCH!!
5 y/o friend: "My brother's friend is scared of trees and branches." Spencer: "That's crazy!" Friend: "He thinks there's scary stuff in them." Spencer: "Like what?" Friend: "Porcupines" Spencer: "And mini-dragons?" Friend: "Yeah." (9/13/11)
