As many of you already know, our world was turned upside down this week. Last Tuesday, our sweet little Spencer had a stomachache that didn't go away. After a couple of trips to the doctor we finally took him to the ER on Saturday night and within hours we found ourselves admitted to the Pediatric ICU in SLC. Spencer's heart is in failure and he is a very, very sick little boy. The doctor's don't know what is causing it but they are working their hardest to fix it. We've had some awful conversations with doctors regarding ventilators and possible heart transplant, but it's just too depressing and shocking to even know what to do with that info at this point. Hopefully the current meds do their job and we can forget that those conversations ever occurred.
We are so grateful for all of the love and prayers. It helps so much!!
I probably won't be on here much. My sis-in-law, Haley, created a page for me on Caring Bridge that will allow me to update everyone on Spencer's status much easier. Here is the link:

I don't know much about the site yet but Haley said that you can sign up to get emails whenever we update.
Love you all!!!

My heart just fell when I read this. I am so, so very sorry for what you are going through. I've added sweet Spencer to my prayer list right now and will sign up for the updates on Caring Bridge. I have a close relative in heart failure and she works and functions pretty normally, with lots of meds. Please keep us posted. And, please take care of yourself.
We are praying... praying so hard. Love you all.
I still read your blog and your family is in our prayers. Lauree
Oh Nancy! I am so sorry. I will make sure to pray for you and little Spencer and your family. I can't imagine what you must be going through. There are no words tell you how I worries I am for you. I love you.
I came here from Crystal's blog and just want to say that I am so pleased to hear that Spencer has a heart now I hope it is most upward from this point with only a few dips in the road......
I "found" you through Shelly's blog (Le Tejana). I will keep your sweet baby in my prayers and your whole family as you struggle through this.
