My poor little Spencer had a traumatic day yesterday. I finally decided to be brave and take ALL FIVE kids somewhere since they have been climbing the walls after a month at home. So we packed a lunch and went to the park. Well, it was 90 degrees and Spencer took off his sandals and headed for the playground. By the time he got halfway up the little "mock mountain" on the playground his poor little feet were just burning! He made it the rest of the way up and then Paige rescued him and brought him to me. The poor little guy really cooked his feet. He has blisters on the balls of both feet plus some of his toes. I hurried him right home and got him in cold water. That combined with Motrin, a cool fan, and Bob the Builder finally calmed him down enough that he could fall asleep. He woke up two hours later and said, "Me better!" He does seem to be doing much better, but he is walking very carefully...when we let him walk at all. As a matter of fact, he is going to recover from this much quicker than I will. I've just been so sad for him. He is my little toughie!

Poor little guy! OUCHIE! Glad that he has big sisters who can give him piggybacks everywhere!
ooooo... you wouldn't think ninety degrees would do that...wow....he is so adorable with those big brown eyes.
OK, so maybe it's a good thing you had another girl. :) I can't imagine blisters on the bottoms of my feet. Maybe he can have two popsicles--one for his feet and one for his mouth.
My feet have been hurting just thinking about him the last couple of days. I'm glad he's feeling better!
