Where's the Beef?

Matt shot an elk 2 weeks ago, so last Saturday we spent the day butchering it. It was like CSI: Wellsville in our kitchen. The girls all fought over who got to run the meat grinder, but Spencer wanted nothing to do with it! I wish I had gotten a picture when they were all working hard but it was so crazy I didn't even think to grab the camera. This is later when interest had waned and Nicole was the only one sticking it out with us. It was a long day but now, 75 pounds later, our freezer is full again!

Happy Birthday Spencer!

Our little Spencer-man turned three years old on Sunday. We had a great day celebrating with him. He is such a fun little guy and we love him very much!!

Happy New Year!

After a late night of games and food and cousins, we celebrated the New Year with a little sledding in Grandma and Grandpa's pasture. The kids had a great time thanks to Uncle Paul helping them down the hill and Uncle Tom and Uncle Mike helping them up the hill. And of course once the snowballs started to fly the day became perfect! Top that off with grandma's hot chocolate and you just know that we're in for a great 2009!!
